Due to Covid-19, in-person meetings of the club will not be held as planned. Regularly scheduled educational and competitions meetings are being held via Zoom. We’ll resume in person meetings as soon as it is deemed safe.
All amateur photographers at all levels, from beginners to advanced are encouraged to checkout our club, guests are welcome at all meetings. Our club has many Chicago area members from Glen Ellyn, Carol Stream, Wheaton, West Chicago and neighboring suburbs. Members photograph a variety of subjects and are also invited to photograph Wheaton Park District events for potential use in park district publications.
Meetings are held twice a month from September through May at the Wheaton Park District Community Center, 1777 S. Blanchard, Wheaton, IL 60189. An educational presentation is given on the second Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m., and on the fourth Monday at 7:30 p.m. we have a member photo competition. The doors open at 7:00 p.m. and guests are welcome to come early to meet club members and have any questions they may have answered. For the competitions, members can submit color and black & white prints or digital image files for competition. Entries are evaluated by a team of outside judges and ribbons are awarded. Central DuPage Camera Club is a member of the Chicago Area Camera Clubs Association (CACCA). Photographs and digital image files from the club’s monthly competitions are entered into competition with the other thirty plus clubs in CACCA. Our club members may also submit entries to CACCA for individual competition with other exceptional photographers in the entire Chicago area.
Full membership is $30 per year, $40 per couple, $15 for students or non-competition membership.
